You are more than welcome Julie. I can't wait to review it for you. I just adore the idea of this book. I will definately be reading it to my two daughters!
My goodness! It has been a while since I have written. It has been a wild few months with some great achievements, a new job, cool training, lots of studying and some awesome experiences. What I feel to be one of my greatest accomplishments is passing the composite science TEXES exam. So, I thought I would take the time to blog about how I prepared for it. I know that when I was getting ready to take the test, I was a bit discouraged with the lack of reliable resources about how I should prepare. Let me begin with a bit of background. Everyone will approach this test from difference backgrounds, experience etc. If you are right out of college with a good understanding of Chemistry and Physics as well as basic Biology concepts you may be able to barely pass the exam--but pass none-the-less. However, if you are like me--several years removed from any sort of formal education, you are going to have to work for it. I graduated Baylor in...
OH. MY. GOODNESS. Ok, so this trip was made under some unusual conditions that I hope to never-again repeat. Reese's 2nd day of school was today. Raeleigh and I had out first day of Parent's Day Out at Journey and we were ALL e-x-h-a-u-s-t-e-d!! So that is strike one in the coupoing chaos trifecta. We went to HEB to coupon and deal shop on the last day of the ad cycle. Meaning, all the deals listed in the current ad end are changing at closing tonight. Never, ever, ever, never, ever do this! At least not if you plan to budget and coupon shop. I will tell you why: HEB was completely out of many of their combo locos and meal deals. When I say out--I mean OUT. In some instances there were no yellow in-store coupons remaining, if you could locate the items, and in other c...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgnClrx8N2k Today as was trying to soak in my small window of quiet alone time with the Lord (and without kids) something struck me. This song came to mind and I was reminded that we, in our fleshly bodies, often forget who the real enemy is. What really is behind the pandemic? The rioting? The social unrest? The political posturing? The fear-mongering? The lies? The finger-pointing? The fear? It isn't your neighbor, or your president, or your neighbor or some social justice group or another country--it is our oldest and most cunning foe. Ephesians 6:12 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. This enemy often knows us better than we know ourselves. He can be persuasive and attractive and manipulative but he VERY MUCH is the TRUE enemy. John 10:10 10 The thief comes only to steal and kil...
